Midlands-based fully integrated marketing agency, HROC, has appointed Marie Carter as PR director as part of its ongoing growth strategy.
Carter, who has 15 years’ PR and marketing experience, started her career at McCann Erickson in Birmingham, then moved to Manchester for six years where she worked at Tangerine PR. Marie moved back to the Midlands in 2014 where she spent two years at WPR as consumer director. She has headed up nationwide accounts including Wilko, Green King Pubs, Beaverbrooks and Dunelm.
Carter will be part of the PR senior management team and her role is to expand the consumer division into the retail, FMCG and leisure sectors, as well as devising strategic and compelling campaigns that deliver against business objectives.
Steve Sherran, managing director of PR and Social Media, said: “HROC is growing at a fantastic rate and 2017 is looking to be a very successful year. There has been significant growth within the PR and social team over the last few years due to a number of new business wins with international and multi-national brands and there is still plenty of new business in the pipeline.
“Marie has a wealth of experience and has worked across a number of sectors, so her appointment will really strengthen our team and continue to position HROC as one of the leading PR agencies within the Midlands.”
