Speak to my agent, darhling!

You’ve got to love Gillian McKeith. Actually, you don’t, but you have got to admire the amazing amount of hot air that came out of her mouth during her recent (and possibly career ending) stint on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity……

It wasn’t the smuggling in the underwear, or the fake fainting that made me smile, it was the insistence that she had never seen the show before and didn’t know what she was letting herself in for.

Having worked with any number of celebrities (real ones) such as Ruby Wax, Gary Lineker, Phil Tuffnel and Frank Skinner over the years on PR and integrated campaigns for clients, we know for a fact that no celebrity lets themselves in for anything without their agent crossing all the I’s and dotting all the T’s. These people are briefed to the max before putting pen to paper and signing up for a photo shoot, let alone eating raw crocodile testicles in the Australian outback.

Still, it did provide some golden TV moments over the course of the series but it’s a real shame she didn’t go for some of the yuckier food treats that the cheeky Geordie chappies had in store for her, after all as Gillian well knows, you are what you eat.
